In case it wasn't already clear from my site's URL, the Kirby series is very special to me! Some of my favorite memories growing up are playing Return to Dream Land and Epic Yarn on the Wii with my sister. It's been a pretty consistent interest for me ever since I was around 10 or so, and remains near the top of my list to this day. It's an extremely charming series that obviously has a lot of love and care put into it, and I'm really excited for what the future holds.
If you're unfamiliar with it, Kirby is a series of platformer games developed primarily by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. It first began in 1992 with Kirby's Dream Land, created by game developer Masahiro Sakurai. He wanted to make a game that anyone could play regardless of skill level, and certainly succeeded in that, as the game would continue to be the best selling Kirby game until it was finally dethroned by Kirby and the Forgotten Land in early 2023. The series focuses on the titular Kirby, and the adventures he experiences on his home planet Popstar and others. Since the release of the first game, the series has changed directors several times, and has gradually become more ambitious and expanded the scope of its world and lore.
