The Legend of Zelda is a series of adventure games mainly developed and published by Nintendo. According to one of the series creators, Shigeru Miyamoto, it was inspired by the time he spent exploring the areas around his hometown as a child. It follows our ever-reincarnating hero Link as he defends the world from evil by slaying monsters, traveling through puzzle-filled dungeons, and helping random citizens along the way. There have been quite a lot of games in the series over its 35+ years of existence, each with their own identity and feel.

I never played the games when I was very young, but I'd always admired LOZ from a distance and wanted to get into it. When I was 12 or 13 (can't remember) I finally got Majora's Mask on the Wii's Virtual Console, and was immediately hooked. Since then, I've played nearly all of the games in the series, with the exception of the spinoffs, as well as the first two games because they kind of intimidate me lol. I may have quite a few issues with the series now that I'm older, but I still love it dearly and it's always gonna have a place in my heart.
